On September 17, at the 2026 Automotive Industry Supply Chain Collaborative Innovation Matchmaking Conference held in Tianjin, a Joint Innovation Laboratory jointly established by Zhongqi Automotive Components Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhongqi Automotive Components”) and leading automotive parts companies, including Beijing Hella BHAP Automotive Lighting Co., Ltd., Jinyuandong (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., Jingwei Hirain (Tianjin) Research and Development Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Yingtang Smart Health Technology Co., Ltd., was officially inaugurated.
The laboratory builds on Zhongqi Automotive Components’ accumulated expertise in testing and validation, industry research, and trend analysis. By sharing equipment, technologies, and R&D capabilities with leading companies, it will jointly tackle technical challenges in automotive components, support the validation of innovative technologies, accelerate the transition of new technologies from laboratory development to mass production, and help address technological gaps across the industry.
“The inauguration of the Joint Innovation Laboratory is far more than simply putting up a sign,” said Du Tianqiang, Deputy General Manager of Zhongqi Automotive Components. “New products and technologies are evolving rapidly, and many innovative achievements urgently require testing, validation, and industry recognition.”
Du noted that many automotive parts companies currently have relatively limited capabilities in product validation, particularly during the R&D stage. The laboratory can provide testing and validation environments to help companies optimize product functionality and refine market positioning.
“Once a product has been developed, it must undergo comprehensive validation and testing before it can ultimately enter mass production,” Du explained. “By leveraging their respective strengths and working together, Zhongqi Automotive Components and leading industry companies can help accelerate the transition of emerging technologies from development to real-world applications.”
During the conference, the 2026 Directory of Automotive Supply Chain Companies and Products, jointly compiled by the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Automotive Supply Chain Industry Alliance and Zhongqi Automotive Components, was officially released.
According to Du Tianqiang, the global automotive industry is currently accelerating its transformation toward electrification and intelligent technologies. Automotive supply chains are shifting from a traditional cost-driven model toward greater emphasis on supply chain security, resilience, and collaborative efficiency. Strengthening and improving the automotive supply chain has become a widely recognized industry priority, while the market urgently needs practical solutions to address gaps between supply and demand.
For vehicle manufacturers, the 2026 Directory of Automotive Supply Chain Companies and Products serves as an efficient sourcing reference that can reduce research and supplier-screening costs. For automotive parts companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, it provides an important platform for showcasing their technologies and capabilities. The directory broadly covers major segments of the automotive industry, with a particular focus on emerging fields such as new energy vehicles, automotive chips for new energy applications, intelligent chassis systems, and cutting-edge technologies.
